PROJECT NOTE

In 2023, I directed my first commercial.

Ready 4 Whatever for Barboza.

I had been working with moving images for years before this, but this one felt different. For the first time, I wasn’t just thinking about creating beautiful images — I was responsible for bringing an idea together through direction, performance, cinematography, styling, rhythm and a whole crew of people.

Looking back at it years later, there are obviously a hundred things I would approach differently today.

But that’s exactly why I still love it.

It marks a point where something shifted for me. Where filmmaking became less about simply operating a camera and more about creating a world, making decisions and telling a story.

My first one.

And definitely not my last.
